Rich Palmer has been podcasting since early 2005. His first venture into the realm was an education/information show called “Home Safe 411”. This show gave tips, advice, and general information to help families be more safe from fire and other injury-related topics.
In September 2005, the Miami Valley Musicast was launched. The show became “Audio Gumshoe” in April 2006 and has continued since that time. In the beginning the show featured artists in the region including and surrounding the greater Dayton, Ohio area (including Cincinnati). Because there is so much great independent music out there, Rich expanded the show to include independent music from anywhere he discovered it.
Rich is a former broadcaster. He served primarily as a radio host, producer, news engineer, copywriter, sales guy and such for roughly eight years — until Clear Channel started sucking the life out of opportunities in radio broadcasting. His favorite time in radio was during his time with National Public Radio affiliate WBST-FM in Muncie, Indiana.
